About Queen City Corvette Club
Welcome to the Queen City Corvette Club website.
Queen City Corvette Club is the largest and most active Corvette club in North Carolina with over 220 plus members. Our members range in age from their 20's all the way up to our senior member who is 93 years young. Every model year of Corvettes is represented, from vintage C1 models from the mid fifties to the most current and latest model 2009 Corvette.
The primary goal of our club is owning, driving, and sharing our Corvettes with others, while establishing close friendships with other people who share a passion for Corvettes. Our activities include car shows, overnight and day road trips, parades, poker runs, car care days, cruise ins, and high performance driving events. Our 2008 overnight road trips were to various destinations this past year, Vette's in the Valley, Murder Mystery trip to Charleston and Biltmore Home tour.
The club's social activities include BBQ's, ice cream socials, picnics, go kart racing and of course our famous Monday and Wednesday night dinner gatherings. These dinners give us an opportunity to gather at various restaurants through out the greater Charlotte area to share fellowship with other members and also give us an excuse to shine our cars and show them off! Our Wednesday group meets weekly and our Monday group meets on the first Monday of each month.
Queen City Corvette Club is a non-profit club and is very active in the charity arena. We arrange various charity car shows with local Hendrick Chevrolet dealers, raising funds that are donated to local charities. This past year we supported through our charity fund, Matthews Help Center , USO, National Corvette Museum and the 145 th National Guard Children.
Queen City Corvette Club provides an opportunity for members to exchange knowledge and information on how to maintain and enjoy their Corvettes. We meet the second Saturday of each month at different locations in the greater Charlotte area. Look on our calendar for location information. Our meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and are usually preceded by a social period starting at 6:00 p.m. After the business meeting, we normally adjourn to a local restaurant. This is a great way to get to know your fellow club members.
If you are interested in becoming a member, you must be over 21 years of age and own a Corvette. There is more information regarding membership on this website. Please come back and visit our website often. It is always being updated, it includes a calendar of events, pictures of recent club activities, classified ads, our monthly newsletter, and helpful “tech tips”.
Please feel free to contact our Membership Director Eddie Burt, any board member, or me directly. We would welcome the opportunity to have you participate in Queen City Corvette Club.
In the meantime, drive safely, Save the Wave; we look forward to seeing you soon.
